Morning Vinyasa – 7.12.14 (Perseverance)

It was an absolute pleasure to fill in for Kelle this morning at Yoga Mindset.  There is no greater way to start a Saturday morning than with sixteen yogis smiling and laughing.  A lot of the focus in this class was on the shoulders and hips in preparation for supported handstands against the wall.  The word perseverance definitely comes into play when you are attempting handstands (a pose that I hope to attain one day through focus).  The following quote was our ending meditation.

“Keep on going, and the chances are that you will stumble on something perhaps when you are least expecting it.  I never heard of anyone ever stumbling on something sitting down.” – Charles F. Kettering (an American inventor, engineer, businessman, and the holder of 186 patents)

We all woke up this morning bringing different bodies and minds to the practice, but each made the conscious decision to refrain from stagnation and to stumble.  In the present, the stumble is very much joyful as it allows us the freedom to enjoy the journey.  Thanks all for a great morning!
